This begins when a regularly cycling women aged 35 or older starts noticing characteristics changes. The “diagnosis” can be made when women report any three of nine changes in experiences (such as night sweats, heavier flow, sleep problems, etc. see Table). This phase is estimated to last approximately three-five years. It ends when the first irregular cycles begin (Early Menopause Transition).
